Mammoth Mountian

Owen's first trip to Mammoth! Stance gave us some free lift tickets for the weekend, so we headed up with the gang. We stayed at Eric's co-worker's condo, and had a blast in the snow.  I rode all day on Friday, and despite the less than stellar conditions, had such a great time. Brandon and Owen hung out in the lodge and played in the snow while mommy got some shred time!  We also checked out the hot springs with E and Tine, and went fishing with the gang on Saturday at Hot Creek. Owen did great in the snow in his snowsuit, and was a party animal at the bars with us at night.  So much fun!

Scorpion Bay, Part 2: Beach Time

November 21-28, 2016

Spending time at the beach in Scorpion Bay!  Owen was nicknamed "Surfing Baby" by the families in town, and they would cheer him on from the beach.  When Owen would catch a wave, he'd squeal and giggle the whole way. It was so fun to share some waves with him!

Scorpion Bay, Part 1: Friends & Family

November 21-28, 2016

Thanks to an early Christmas gift from Grandma and Grandpa Mehlberg, we flew down to Scorpion Bay and met up with the family for Thanksgiving. The weather was perfect, and the water was still in the low 70's. We had an absolute blast. Owen did wonderful with all the travel, and had a great time playing at the beach and meeting our friends down south.  We can't wait to go back next year!

We narrowed down our favorite photos to the best 215, and that's not including video :) Since we can't post that many here, we will post two blogs with our favorite 35 photos. A fun family video will come out soon!

Tutu's Birthday

For Tutu's birthday, we went to a beautiful lunch at the St. Regis in Laguna Beach.  We gathered at our house and met up with Tom, Pat, Dave, Patty, and Tutu. It was perfect timing for Aunt Pat to meet little Owen!  We had a wonderful time at lunch, and the food was delicious. I would have been even happier if Owen had napped in his carseat like we had hoped, but Owen was too excited to check everything out.  Luckily we had plenty of hands and were able to pass him around the table during lunch. It is such a special thing to spend time with 4 generations! Happy Birthday, Tutu!

FriendsGiving 2016

Eric and Christine hosted a Friendsgiving Dinner at the Mehlberg house (yes, we are still throwing parties at our parent's house when they go on vacation). Everyone contributed a favorite recipe, and the meal turned out amazing. As great as the food was, the company was even better. We are very thankful to have such wonderful people in our lives!

And it was Lisa's birthday! Yey!
