Getting a campsite at Crystal Cove in Laguna Beach is about the same as winning the lottery. We had wanted to go camping for the weekend, but most of the campgrounds were full and we were thinking we might be out of luck. We checked the state-wide campground website over and over, and someone must have cancelled a reservation at the exact moment we were online and I grabbed an awesome site for Friday through Sunday. Too perfect!
The campground burned a number of years ago and has since been restored with new facilities. The sites are on top of a bluff and everyone has a beautiful ocean view. There are miles of hiking trails to explore and Crystal Cove beach is right out front.
We had a relaxing weekend with Reef and Owen. We hiked the trails, swam in the warm water at the beach, and ate great camping food. Owen even had a bath with a beach view. We hope that we get lucky enough to score a site there again!
