Kennedy Meadows Part 1

August 25-27, 2017

Kennedy Meadows is a beautiful area above Ridgecrest, which marks the unofficial start of the eastern Sierras. It's popular with hikers for its easy access to the PCT and Mt. Whitney. We hadn't been there in over 4 years, since Reef dog was just a little puppy.

We met Blake and Bud at Troy Meadow, just past Kennedy, for a weekend of camping and dirt bike riding. Brandon was healing from a cold and decided not to ride. I was sad for him, but also excited to have a camping weekend as a family. This was also our first trip with Buds family: his wife Mindy and daughter Sienna. We had fun camping with another family going through similar struggles and triumphs of toddlerhood! Bud and Blake had fun on their motos while we had fun exploring the creek. Till next time!
