More Beach Time

Blake came down to visit and surf a fun south swell that was forecasted for the weekend. The waves ended up being a little late, and the crowds were horrendous, but we had fun hanging with friends and barbecuing after the beach. We can't get enough water time these days!

To keep Owen from running into the water, sometimes you have to bury him in the sand! Mom was asked by the lifeguards at Trail 1 to exit the water because a shark was swimming nearby.

What a great weekend! It's always strange when the 4th lands on a Tuesday, but we basically ended up having a 4 day weekend. Guess what we did? Yep, we went to the beach. Everyday.  Owen is loving his time at the beach, especially since we've inherited a hand-me-down wetsuit. It's two sizes too big, but he loves it. He stays warmer in the water and needs less sunscreen. Everyone is happy about that! He is so stoked on boogie boarding right now that he points to the board and begs us to take him. That's our boy!

For Kevin's 30th birthday, we went camping with friends up at Rock Creek near Mammoth. We had such a great time. The fish were biting, the weather was perfect, and we were in great company. Kevin's whole family came, along with Mike, Chanell Corey, Lisa, Ian and Rosy. When can we go back?

Hiking to Heart Lake. The trail had only opened 2 days prior due to all the snow. Must of the trail was under water with the snow melt.

First Hair Cut

Chanell gave Owen his first haircut in Uncle E and Aunt Tine's backyard. Owen was really wiggly, so it took many hands to keep him distracted and away from Chanell's scissors. Even Maya Dog helped! The haircut turned out really extra cute.

Father's Day 2017

Uncle E again hosted a great barbecue for Father's Day on his new grill. We never go home hungry!  We spent the weekend doing everything that Brandon loves: surfing and watching motos on Saturday morning. I hope he had as much fun as I did on Mother' Day!
